Kaffer Gaon

Kaffer Gaon or Kafer village is well known as Loleygaon (located about 5 K.M downhill), which is a forest range located around 45 K.M from Kalimpong. Kafer village offers fabulous view of sunrise in the eastern horizon of Bhutan and plains of Dooars and the panoramic view of full range of Kanchenjunga and its sister peaks covered with saffron colored sun rays and a beautiful view of Kalimpong town. The sunset also will be a glorious moment forever which can be seen from this village.

Kalimpong

Kalimpong is an east Indian hill town in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. Perched on a ridge above the Teesta River, it’s home to colonial-era buildings like MacFarlane Memorial Church, named after a Scottish missionary. South, the hilltop Durpin Monastery, or Zang Dhok Palri Phodang, contains sacred Buddhist scriptures.

Kaluk

Kaluk is the small village located in the Himalayan foothills of West Sikkim, near the West Sikkim capital of Gyalshing in North India. Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest peak, is visible from Kaluk. Distance from NJP 121 km.

Kolakham

Kolakham is located in the Neora Valley National Park. It has an average altitude of 1981 meters (6500 ft). It is located 8 km from Lava and 38 km from Kalimpong.

Lamahatta

Lamahatta is located at an altitude of about 5,700 feet and at a distance of 23kms from Darjeeling hill town (takes little over an hour by car). Although it's just a small village where farming and cattle rearing are the main sources of livelihood, Lamahatta is well connected by the Darjeeling-Kalimpong state highway. From Siliguri the road distance to Lamahatta is about 72kms and will take about 3.5 hours.

Latpanchar

Latpanchar actually forms the highest part of Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary with an average altitude of about 4,200 ft. Since it's part of the sanctuary, there is good chance that you will come across some wildlife here like deer, barking deer, wild boars, and some times even leopards and elephants while exploring the jungles around.It is a paradise of bird watching. From New Jalpaiguri (NJP), Latpanchar is at a distance of about 44kms and takes about one and half hours by car.

Lepchajagat

Lepchajagat is a small village located in wilderness at an altitude of 6,956 ft (i.e. 2123 meters) and only 19kms away from Darjeeling hill town. Although it's quite close to Darjeeling's main hub and takes only about 45 minutes by taxi . If you are a nature lover or looking for a romantic stay for couple of days, then Lepchajagat is the place for you. It takes about 3 hours to reach from NJP/Bagdogra

Nathang

Nathang Valley is located along the Old Silk Route in east Sikkim. Situated at an altitude of 13,500 feet above sea-level. Nathang is called Ladakh of East Sikkim. The valley changes its color according to seasons. It is dressed in golden in autumn due to the drying up of the grass. Snow clad in winter, it is strikingly white in color. Spring however, is the best time as a blanket of wild flowers covers the valley, dressing it up in vibrant hues of color. There is snowfall during winters. Nathang Valley has a host of beautiful lakes you can see. There is a small Buddhist Monastery which is a popular tourist attraction.

Okhrey

Okhrey is a small village situated in West Sikkim district, India. Okhrey is mostly inhabited by Sherpas. Okhrey comes under Daramdin BAC Block Administrative Center, and is approximately 110 kilometres from the capital Gangtok

Padamchen

Perched on a hill slope at 8000 ft and covered in dense forests, Padamchen is a small village on the Silk Route circuit just 14 kms from Rongli and 4 kms from Zuluk. Padamchen experiences a very pleasant weather throughout the year and this is one of the main reasons for its popularity.

Pakyong

Pakyong (Nepali: पाक्किम) is a town in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The small town is also Sub Division of East District and holds many government offices. Pakyong used to be a small settlement until the central government approved a new greenfield airport to be constructed.

Peshok

Peshok is a dreamy place with all modern comfort. A great place to stay in and have very relaxed holiday. Expect Great Weather and Great Hospitality. Nearest railway station is NJP. It takes nearly 2hr 30 mins to reach Peshok from NJP via Peshok Road.

Ramdhura

Ramdhura is a small village, situated at 5000 ft.and at a distance of just around 15 kilometers from Delo in Kalimpong of the state of West Bengal.The name Ramdhura is a combination of Ram (of Ramayana) and Dhura. Ramdhura has a fabulous panoramic view. A mesmerizing sunrise with its changing colours over Mt. Kanchenjunga is the main attraction. But the Teesta river, flowing beneath a majestic green valley. Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri Railway station(NJP) which is 86 km.away and Bagdogra Airport is 89 km.from Ramdhura.

Ravangla

Ravangla or Rawangla or Ravongla is a small tourist town situated at an elevation of 7000 ft in South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is connected by state highway to other major towns in the state and lies between Pelling and Gangtok. It acts as the starting point for the trek to Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary. It is approximately 65 km away from the state capital Gangtok and 120 km away from Siliguri, West Bengal.

Rishop

Rishop (also spelt as Rishyap and Risop), is a small Lepcha village on the hill top in Dooars, situated on 2,951 m (8,500 ft) above sea level. It is about 32 km from Kalimpong and just 9 Km road distance from Lava, famous for its excellent view of Mount Kanchenjunga and other mountains of the Eastern Himalaya.

Rongbull

Just before Ghoom, on the way to Darjeeling then a drive of another five kilometres would take you to the famous tea gardens, valleys, waterfalls and endless stretches of blue mountains in the Himalayan foothills of Rongbull village. Just 52 km from Siliguri.

Sillery Gaon

Sillery Gaon is a small village in the Kalimpong district of the state of West Bengal, India. Sillery Gaon is situated at an altitude of 6000 ft. It locally known as New Darjeeling. Its distance from NJP 94km.

SITTONG

SITTONG “ The Orange Village “ situated in deep valley beside Riyang River . It is just 76 km away from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station / Siliguri / Bagdogra. One of the most untouched parts of the Darjeeling Himalayan foothills, Sittong is a treasure trove yet to be discovered. The whole village turns onto yellow during the winter.

Sonada

Sonada is a small town in the Darjeeling District of West Bengal, India. It is 17 km from Darjeeling town and 16 km from Kurseong. Mirik is 23 km away, Ghoom 8 km, Mangpu 8 km and Takdah 11 km. Sonada Monastery, Tiger Hill, Chatakpur, Goreto Nalichour Intek Ceder's and Senchal Lake are some places of interest near Sonada. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train) passes through this town and there is a DHR railway station here.

Temi Tea Garden

located in Ravangla, is the only tea garden in Sikkim. It's considered as one of the best tea gardens in India and in the world. About 119 kilometers from Siliguri, Temi tea garden of Sikkim is one of the famous hill stations of Southern Sikkim.

Yakten

Yakten village in East Sikkim, India, situated on 6,000 ft. above sea level distance from Gangtok only 35 K.M after Pakyong.

Zuluk

Dzuluk or Zuluk is a small hamlet located at a height of around 10,000 feet on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim of the Indian state Sikkim. This place is relatively an emerging and offbeat destination in East Sikkim.
